The purchase of any cattle from ‘Glenola Limousin Stud’ is subject to the following vendor’s ‘Terms and Conditions’ applying:

Inspection

We encourage prospective buyers to inspect cattle prior to sale. This gives us an opportunity to assist in selection of the best genetics for your particular requirements.

Health / Physical Soundness

All our cattle have been drenched and receive annual 5 in 1 vaccinations. Dates of all treatments are available on request for all animals. All cattle that leave our property are considered by us to be healthy and in sound physical condition when they leave.

Foot Trimming

No foot trimming has occurred.

Registration

All our registered cattle with the Australian Limousin Breeders Society Ltd will have their registrations transferred at the request of the purchaser, if communicated to us at the point of sale.

Feed Supplements

We do not, under normal conditions, supplement or grain feed our cattle, other than pasture hay during the colder months. Our cattle are sold in paddock condition. Please discuss, at the point of inspection, our feeding supplementation at that time.

Temperament Warranty ( Docility )

Glenola Limousin Stud has for many years culled ruthlessly based on temperament, and as such has an excellent reputation. We communicate, at the point of inspection, our personal judgements / observations of individual animals based on docility and docility score all our calves as part of the Limousin Estimated Breeding Values ( EBV’s ) Program.

Transport / Delivery

Transit costs are the responsibility of the purchaser, however, we can arrange for a suitable carrier on your behalf.

Once an animal leaves our property, the responsibility of its welfare becomes the responsibility of the purchaser. We encourage all purchasers to cover their purchase with transit insurance.

While every care will be taken, no responsibility can be accepted by us whilst waiting for delivery.

Payment

A Tax Invoice will be issued at the point of sale. Full payment is expected at the time of sale or when the animal / s leave the property. If the purchase is through an Agent, the Agent’s normal trading terms will be adhered to.

Breeding Guarantee

Bulls

All bulls are sold as fertile and capable of natural service. In the unlikely event of Infertility, if the bull proves totally infertile or totally incapable of natural service, under natural mating conditions, within 6 months, provided it has not been caused by injury or disease contracted since leaving our property, the Vendor guarantees that the purchase price ( without interest, expenses, costs or damages ) shall be refunded and the bull returned , OR, at the option of the vendor, the bull shall be replaced ( swapped ) with a comparable fertile bull capable of natural service.

Any claim must be in the hands of the vendor within 6 months of the date of sale ( the date the bull left our property ) and be accompanied by a relevant qualified Veterinarian Certificate ( at the purchaser’s expense ) stating, inter alia, that such infertility did not result from injury or disease occurring after delivery.

In the event of a problem we need to know sooner rather than later.

Females

Should any heifer  prove infertile under natural mating conditions for a period of 12 months from the date of sale ( the date the heifer left our property ) then, at the option of the vendor, the heifer shall be replaced with a comparable  fertile heifer, OR , the purchase price refunded ( without interest, expenses, costs or damages ).

Any claim must be in the hands of the vendor within the said period ( 12 months ) and accompanied by a relevant qualified Veterinarian’s Certificate ( at the purchaser’s expense ) stating, inter alia, that such infertility did not result from injury or disease occurring after delivery.

In the event of a problem we need to know sooner rather than later.
